It's only ten days now before Sirens Call releases its second anthology, Twisted Realities: Of Myth and Monstrosity. Keep those eyes peeled. . .

In other news, a friendly reminder that followers of my writing can link to my Facebook Author Page for all the most recent news, updates and reminders. As the group grows I would love for it to become more interactive and I'm always available to answer any polite questions directed there too.
Tales From The River

Dark River Press has released its first official anthology this month, Tales From The River, featuring one of my short stories, 'Memorial':

'Tales from the River Volume 1 is a collection of dark stories, poetry and academia guaranteed to keep you up sweating and shaking past the witching hour. In true Dark River Press style, Tales From The River Volume 1 brings together some of the finest new and emerging horror talent from around the world such as Christian Larsen, Thomas James Brown,  Brett A.P. Janes, Brandon Ford, K.A. Opperman, Marcus Tsong and more. Come face to face with some of your darkest fears and wildest imaginings. Some will shock, some will seep into your mind and linger, all will terrify and, most importantly, make you think. Dare you see where the River will take you?'

If this sounds of interest then head on over to Dark River Press' homepage and grab a copy of the ebook from there. You won't be disappointed!

Just a quick note to announce that April's edition of Sirens Call Publications' e-Zine has been released, featuring my short piece, 'Weeping Willow'. For those interested, the publication is bi-monthly and the subscription is $6 for six issues. It's crammed full with short stories and flash fiction from various authors in the speculative genre, so if this sounds of interest, head over HERE and get reading. Many thanks, as always, for your continued support. Enjoy!

Update

Late April marks six months writing for Dark River Press. Time has gone so quickly, but this can only be a good thing. I am having a great time maintaining my blog, 'Horror Penned', and look forward to seeing where it will take me. Many thanks go to the editor of Dark River Press, Robert Leyland, for his dedication to the site, his excellence and for taking me on as a Staff Writer in the first place. Keep up the good work, Rob!

The next few months should see some exciting developments. Progress is being made on my next book, a contemporary Gothic narrative tentatively titled Lynnwood. In between working on this and a number of other projects, I am compiling a select list of smaller, independent presses to approach with the manuscript. I am also very excited for the release of my short story 'It Lives In Us' in May, through Sirens Call Publications. The story will feature in their collection, Of Myth and Monstrosity.

Welcome to the new-look site, everyone!

I have been working hard on some aesthetic changes, which will hopefully make the website easier to navigate. I have removed the guestbook feature and restructured my credits page. I have also chosen to use this blog feature as my home page/news feed, in this instance for my own benefit.

A reminder to keep an eye out for Sirens Call Publications' upcoming anthology in May, Of Myth and Monstrosity, featuring my short , 'It Lives In Us'. I'm very excited about this release and hope some of you are, too.

I hope everyone is keeping well!
